World Book and Copyright Day

Today we celebrate World Book and Copyright Day, the annual event organised by UNESCO to promote reading, publishing and copyright.

Books open windows to other worlds and to great understanding of our own. They reflect the rich linguistic and cultural diversity that defines humanity.

As we embrace AI, we must ensure it amplifies — not erases — the languages, stories, and cultures that make our world so richly textured.

Stories bloom where many voices thrive, adding color to our shared world
