Google’s experiment poses problems in terms of democracy, copyright and competition law. That’s why the Minister for Culture and the Minister for Digital Affairs have asked Google to stop the experiment. And that’s why the Minister of Business and Industry is also involved in the matter. The Danish government prioritises the tech area very highly and the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority is following Google’s test very closely.
Denmark is a small but impactful country with ministers demonstrating bold and brave leadership in ensuring a strong democracy, informed citizens, cultural diversity, fair competition and innovation.
