DPCMO and Hudd sign Letter of Intent to explore collaboration on responsible digital public discourse

DPCMO and the Scandinavian social platform Hudd have signed a Letter of Intent to explore potential collaboration aimed at strengthening access to reliable information, digital responsibility, and democratic dialogue in Denmark. The Letter of Intent reflects a shared ambition to support a healthy and diverse digital public space, built on transparency, data security, respect for copyright, and trust between citizens, media, and institutions.

DPCMO represents approximately 99% of the Danish news industry and administers collective licensing agreements under Danish copyright law. Hudd is a Scandinavian social platform built around verified individuals and organizations, without anonymous accounts or algorithmic amplification.

The parties will now enter into further dialogue to assess possible areas of cooperation.

Anders Frogner, CEO of Hudd, says: “Strong democracies depend on trust, real identities, and access to reliable information. We are encouraged by the opportunity to explore dialogue with DPCMO on how digital platforms can support a more responsible public sphere.”

Karen Rønde, CEO of DPCMO, says: “Quality journalism and reliable information are essential pillars of a well-functioning democracy. As the collective we are committed to ensuring that professional media can operate sustainably in the digital environment. We welcome the opportunity to engage in dialogue with Hudd to explore how responsible platforms and rights holders can work together to strengthen transparency, respect for copyright, and trust in the digital public sphere.”

Hudd’s mission is to support democratic participation and strong local societies by offering a digital infrastructure rooted in trust, data responsibility, and respect for public discourse.
