DPCMO wins first round in dispute with LinkedIn
The Danish Copyright Licence Tribunal has ruled that the Tribunal has jurisdiction to hear DPCMO's claims for data transparency and remuneration. LinkedIn had filed a motion to dismiss the case. The decision, 32 pages, will also have an impact on DPCMO's disputes with Meta, TikTok and YouTube. Both the DSM Directive and the CRM Directive (2014/26/EU) are relevant in the case. The Tribunal is chaired by a supreme court judge and two experienced copyright lawyers.
