AI Action Summit in Paris

Paris is, as always, overwhelming. So is the AI Action Summit - and this period. The new US administration, the EU's announcement of a billion AI package, the Musk-led bid for control of OpenAI, DeepSeek, the withdrawal of the AI Liability Directive just to name a few.

Where to start and where to end? DPCMO focuses on democracy and the role and responsibility of a free and diverse media. Whether we discuss AI and technology, the Competitiveness Compass, the Democracy Shield etc. – we are committed to contribute.

Last night, Dazi Avocats and Hagens Berman gathered on stage at the Theater de l’Odéon-Europe in Paris several representatives from the cultural family, cultural financiers, leaders of cultural institutions, researchers, legislators, international organisations, startups and many more.

Technology carries a societal and cultural model, but culture is also an industry, Fayrouze Masmi Dazi emphasised in her opening speech. The key players in the entire creative economy value chain need to collaborate, transcend traditional circles and build partnerships. Together, we can create the conditions for growth while pursuing multiple goals. Wise words.

Change may be about large-scale regulation addressing systemic challenges and market failures, but in parallel the cultural industry must take actions. Many small steps will matter. And we can start by strengthened our internal and external cross collaboration.
