It’s complex and difficult, but five pillars of a sustainable and just creative ecosystem are essential:
1. Licensing – value must begin at the sources. Our top priority is fair remuneration that fuels reinvestment in quality content
2. Legislation – set the rules for a fair game. We need strong, clear laws that respect creative rights in the AI era
3. Literacy – win minds and hearts to create lasting change. True change isn’t just legal or technical – it’s emotional and cultural. We must educate, build trust, show integrity, listen deeply and show the human side of creativity. Belief drive action
4. Leadership – to shape change, someone must lead and take risks. Denmark has just taken over the EU presidency – AI/copyright is a top priority. Denmark is ready to show leadership and be ambitious. So must we
5. Litigation – rights without effective enforcement are just wishes. When our rights are violated, litigation is necessary. That’s why DPCMO has decided to sue OpenAI and LinkedIn
We will be able to navigate troubled water if we upgrade our ability to cooperate and act.
