Digitalisation is dominated by a handful of powerful global tech giants that have a huge impact on our businesses and competitiveness, society and citizens – is unlike anything the world has experienced before – and has geopolitical implications. That’s why the government is demanding that big tech takes on greater social responsibility.
We left the meeting confident that Denmark is setting an ambitious agenda – and will continue to do so during the EU Presidency in 2025. Denmark will use its leadership role to ensure EU legislation that sets responsible and democratic rules for the tech industry, not only in Europe, but globally.
