It’s about trust. About being seen and genuinely reflected in the public conversation. And about pointing to concrete opportunities for action and creating hope for all of us.
Conversation between people is a vital part of our democratic infrastructure, something we must protect and actively nurture. Trust and democratic self-confidence arise when we listen to each other and take one another seriously.
It’s not rocket science. But in uncertain times, it’s important that we remember the obvious and act on it.
